Pink BEESAFETY RS-2818 reusable half face dust mask with six P2 filters

The right respirator setup starts with the hazard, the filter and the fit. The BEESAFETY RS-2818 is a compact reusable half face dust mask designed for common particle-generating tasks when used with the correct P2 filters and according to the product instructions.

When the RS-2818 may be suitable

With compatible P2 particle filters installed, the RS-2818 can be considered for tasks that create airborne dust or non-oil particles, including sanding, woodworking, renovation and general dusty cleanup. Always identify the contaminant and follow workplace safety requirements before starting work.

The mask is available in pink, blue and grey.

P2 filters and activated carbon cartridges serve different purposes

P2 particle filters are used for particle hazards such as dust. The RS-2818 kits include replaceable P2 filters, and a 12-pack of compatible P2 replacement filters is available separately.

Activated carbon cartridges are a separate accessory for applications involving certain gases or vapors covered by the cartridge marking and instructions. They are not included with the standard RS-2818 dust mask kit. See the RS-2818 activated carbon cartridge 2-pack for product details.

Do not treat a particle filter as gas or vapor protection. For a fuller comparison, read P2 Filters vs A1 Cartridges.

How to prepare the mask

  1. Inspect the mask. Check the face seal, straps, valves and filter holder for damage, deformation or contamination.
  2. Install compatible filters. Fit clean, undamaged P2 filters in the holder and close it securely.
  3. Position the mask. Place the seal over the nose and under the chin.
  4. Adjust the straps. Tighten evenly so the mask sits securely without twisting.
  5. Check the seal. Perform the user seal check described in the product instructions before each use.

Facial hair and fit matter

Hair, stubble, eyewear or clothing between the seal and the skin can cause leakage. If the mask does not seal correctly, leave the work area and readjust or select a different size or model. Where required by workplace rules, complete a formal fit test before use. See our respirator seal check and proper fit guide for a step-by-step pre-use check.

When this mask is not appropriate

  • Oxygen-deficient or unknown atmospheres
  • Immediately dangerous environments
  • Contaminants or concentrations outside the filter's approved use
  • Work where a secure facial seal cannot be achieved

Use an appropriate respiratory protection program and consult a qualified safety professional when the hazard is uncertain.

Care and filter replacement

Clean the reusable mask body according to the instructions, allow it to dry fully and store it away from contamination, heat and direct sunlight. Do not wash particle filters or carbon cartridges. Replace filters when they are damaged, dirty, wet, difficult to breathe through or when the manufacturer's replacement conditions are reached.
